Fantasy Football Keeper Debates
Odell Beckham Jr. vs. A.J. Green
In his rookie season Odell Beckham Jr. made the catch of the year, earned the right to be on the cover of Madden, won the Rookie of the Year award, caught 12 touchdowns and hauled in 91 balls for 1,305 yards in just 12 games.
The 22 year old is on the smaller side of things listed at 5' 11" but he can jump (posted a 38.5 inch vertical at the NFL Combine) with the best Wide Outs in the game today. One thing Beckham Jr. has going for him is his ability to haul in almost any catch with one hand - something he practices before every game. Odell has a bright future as does his counterpart in my "Keeper Debates" Bengals' Wide Receiver A.J. Green. Green had a bit of a down-year last season as he dealt with a concussion but he also has one of the brightest futures in the NFL. |
A.J. entered the 2014 season coming off back-to-back years with 97+ receptions, 164+ targets, 1,350+ receiving yards and 11 touchdowns. The Bengals' star pass catcher, if healthy, should end the upcoming season as a Top 5 Fantasy Wide Out and, at age 26, could be a dominate Fantasy player for years to come.
For the purpose of this article I'll pick Odell Beckham Jr. but I truly believe each player will be an elite Fantasy WR for years to come.
