Fantasy Baseball Keeper Rankings
By Position: First Basemen

Each player will be listed under the position/positions they will qualify for next season. For instance, Miguel Cabrera qualifies at First and Third Base this season but because he's played a majority of his games at First this year, he'll lose Third Base eligibility for 2015. Players like Ben Zobrist and Martin Prado, both known for their versatility, will lose Outfield eligibility for next season significantly hurting their Fantasy value. These rankings will focus on the future more than the present but, like always, I will assess each player the same way that I have in my past rankings.

I will go back at and edit every player that gains or losses eligibility at a position from now until the end of the year. If I miss someone please let me know.

My rankings are based on my perception of a player's Fantasy value over the next three-to-five years.

Next in line: Matt Fields (Royals 1B) and Kelly Johnson (Yankees 1B/3B).

Like always, position scarcity is something I took into account when creating my rankings. I think it's important to understand the depth of every position in today's game. Please post your Keeper questions and dilemmas in the comment section below, I'll answer all of them. Just keep it clean!
