Bell and Axford Lose Their Jobs. Reed Next?

Heath Bell and John Axford have both lost their closing jobs. K-Rod looks to step in for the Brewers but down in Miami it's a crap shoot. I would put my money on Steve Cishek but with Ozzie Guillen anything is possible. The Chicago White Sox have recently (about an hour ago) acquired Brett Myers from the Houston Astros. Now Robin Ventura must decide who his closer will be down the stretch as his White Sox look to hold off the Detroit Tigers and Cleveland Indians for the AL Central crown. Here is a look at my July 21st Fantasy Baseball Relief Rankings.

1. Craig Kimbrel ATL (1)
2. Kenley Jansen LAD (2)
3. Aroldis Chapman CIN (3)
4. Joe Nathan TEX (4)
5. Joel Hanrahan PIT (6)

I'm a believer in the Pirates this year and Hanrahan is one of the biggest reasons why.

6. Fernando Rodney TB (7)
7. Jason Motte STL (8)
8. Rafael Soriano NYY (12)

Closing for the Yankees has its benefits, Soriano is loving live right now (same with Soriano owners).

9. Ernesto Frieri LAA (9)
10. Jonathan Papelbon PHI (5)
11. Jim Johnson BAL (10)
12. Tyler Clippard WSH (11)
13. Chris Perez CLE (13)
14. Huston Street SD (22)

Street has done nothing but dominate since he came off the DL. Buy Buy Buy (Jim Kramer reference).

15. J.J. Putz ARI (20)
16. Rafeal Betancourt COL (16)
17. Jose Valverde DET (23)
18. Casey Janssen TOR (24)
19. Francisco Rodriguez MIL (NR)

I mentioned K-Rod as one of my "Three Up" players in my July 19th Fantasy Baseball Trends article.

20. Ryan Cook OAK (28)
21. Jonathan Broxton KC (19)
22. Santaigo Casilla SF (14)
23. Alfredo Aceves BOS (26)
24. Tom Wilhelmsen SEA (29)
25. Glen Perkins MIN (NR)
26. Sergio Romo SF (NR)
27. David Robertson NYY (25)
28. Brett Myers CHW (22)
29. Addison Reed CHW (18)
30. Carlos Marmol CHC (30)

I'm giving the inside edge to Myers for the Chi Sox closer role
With the acquisition of Brett Myers the White Sox will have to decide who will close games out for the rest of 2012. Tweet me your thoughts on the situation @Awies28
