Ch-Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes in The Top 10
(Cut to a picture of David Bowie)
Injuries seem to be the overlying theme in this edition of my Hitter Rankings. If you have any questions or comments feel free to post them at the bottom of this page or better yet, find me on Twitter @Awies28
1. Ryan Braun MIL (1)
2. Miguel Cabrera DET (3)
3. Carlos Gonzalez COL (4)
4. Andrew McCutchen PIT (6)
5. Robinson Cano NYY (7)
6. Mike Trout LAA (23)
7. David Wright NYM (9)
8. Matt Kemp LAD (22)
Since his return from the DL Kemp has had a hit in every game except one, which includes 5 multi-hit games
9. Albert Pujols LAA 1B (10)
10. Josh Hamilton TEX (8)
I have Hamilton below Trout in my fantasy rankings but when it comes to the AL MVP Award...

Joey Votto CIN (2) 26. Giancarlo Stanton MIA (20) |
Votto and Stanton are dealing with knee issues that will keep them out at least 3 weeks. Consider them buy lows but if I'm an owner I won't even consider trading them (especially in keeper leagues).
27. Jay Bruce CIN (26)
28. Jose Reyes MIA (35)
29. Edwin Encarnacion TOR (32)
30. Shin Soo Choo CLE (36)
31. Brandon Phillips CIN (27)

34. David Ortiz BOS (31)
35. Alex Rodriguez NYY (42)

38. Hunter Pence PHI (37)
39. Mark Trumbo LAA (43)
40. Carlos Beltran STL (41)
41. Billy Butler KC (45)
Maybe getting snubbed by Robinson Cano in the Home Run Derby will anger "Country Breakfast" to have a great second half. He's only 26 so it's very well possible that he is just now entering his power prime.

76. Kevin Youkilis CHW (100)
77. Jose Altuve HOU (71)
78. Trevor Plouffe MIN (73)
Plouffe has not homered since July 3rd. He is dealing with a thumb injury but he did have at least one hit in every game in July until his 0-3 in Kansas City on the 20th. I'm still a believer.

Evan Longoria TB* (94) |
I kept Tulo and Longoria in my top 100 this week because the potential reward with owning them late in the regular MLB season (the Fantasy playoffs) is worth the risk.
