Where do we go from here?

The Miami Heat have won the 2012 NBA Championship. More importantly, LeBron James has finally gotten 1/6 of the quote monkey off his back. You remember the old, "not one, not two, not three, not four, not five, not six..." quote don't you? Ya you do. So now as the Heat Haters and Anti-LeBronians figure out how they are going to red flag this title, I'm going to take a different route. I'm going to tell you what to expect this summer as I put the basketball season to an end.

Free Agency will be an absolute nightmare this summer as many players and future Hall of Fame guys will be available for purchase. Some key free agents are: Steve Nash, Derek Fisher, Landry Fields, Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen, Deron Williams, Eric Gordon and Jeremy Lin. Expect a lot of these veterans to pair up in order to make a title run in 2013.

Will Jeremy Lin take his talents elsewhere?
Trade talks will be in full swing as mega star Dwight Howard will more than likely be shopped around by Magic management. Be sure to keep an eye on the Celtics and Lakers, as they look to rebuild their aging rosters.

It was a disappointing end for the Oklahoma City Thunder who made a historical comeback against the heavily favored Spurs in the Western Conference Finals only to fall in 5 games to the Heat. The Thunder probably won't make any major roster changes this off season, but they are already my early season favorites to win it all next year.

As we wrap up the strike shortened NBA season be sure to check out my fantasy keeper articles and stay tuned for more short reads as the summer progresses. I am now officially putting the NBA season to bed. Yes, I have that kind of authority.

Congratulations to the Miami Heat and MVP LeBron James.
