Look who's in Craig Kimbrel's rear view mirror. June 16th Relief Ranks 1. Craig Kimbrel ATL (1) 2. Aroldis Chapman CIN (3) 3. Kenley Jansen LAD (2) 4. Jonathan Papelbon PHI (4) 5. Joe Nathan TEX (6) Chapman moves up to second this week. Aroldis had three bad outings earlier this week and late last week combined, but I don't think anyone out there is going to question his electric stuff and save opportunities with the Reds. 6. Joel Hanrahan PIT (7) 7. Fernando Rodney TB (9) 8. Jim Johnson BAL (11) 9. Rafeal Betancourt COL (10) 10. Jason Motte STL (5) 11. John Axford MIL (8) If the Brewers can't string together some wins, Axford may be traded. I think he would look right at home in a Red Sox uniform. Although he is from Canada so a Blue Jays uniform might be a bit more comfortable for him personally. |
12. Tyler Clippard WSH (15) 13. Chris Perez CLE (12) 14. Santaigo Casilla SF (13) 15. Rafael Soriano NYY (21) David Robertson has returned from the DL and will hold the set up roll making Soriano's job safer for the time being. | 16. Brett Myers HOU (14) 17. Addison Reed CHW (17) 18. Ernesto Frieri LAA (25) 19. Heath Bell MIA (20) 20. Jonathan Broxton KC (18) 21. J.J. Putz ARI (19) 22. Scott Downs LAA (24) 23. Jose Valverde DET (16) Valverde's antics aren't as fun to watch when he's getting knocked around by seemingly everyone. Jose has 19 strikeouts and 17 walks this year. 24. Huston Street SD (27) 25. David Robertson NYY (23) 26. Matt Capps MIN (22) 27. Alfredo Aceves BOS (26) 28. Frank Francisco NYM (30) 29. Vinnie Pestano CLE (NR) 30. Brandon League SEA (NR) Huston Street is back in the closer's roll in San Diego. Vinnie Pestano has been nearly untouchable this season with a 1.09 WHIP and 16 holds.
