June 15th Fantasy Baseball Hitter Trends

Three Up

Trevor Plouffe MIN
Everyone is in love with this kid and for good reason, he's on fire. 7 home runs in his last 11 games is quite a pace.

Michael Saunders SEA
Saunders is proving himself not only on the base paths (10 steals) but with his power as well (7 home runs). A .282 average has Saunders on top of my "add" list.

Colby Rasmus TOR
He's a streaky player (Alfonso Soriano comes to mind) but he has cut down his strikeout rate by 3% from 2011 and is making contact with 71% of pitches outside the strike zone which is up 13% from his career average.

Three Down

Will Middlebrooks BOS
Has all the talent in the world but won't get the playing time he deserves until Youkilis is dealt. I think Youk ends up with the White Sox.

Justin Smoak SEA
He's cooled of a bit after his recent hot streak. Smoak is 5 for his last 35 with no homers and no RBI's.

Andy Dirks DET
There was a set back in his rehab. There is no timetable for his return. He was hitting .328 with 5 HR before hitting the DL with right Achilles tendinitis.
