Some NFL news
Sunday May 6, 2012

Mike Shannahan has announced that his number one draft pick (second overall), Robert Griffin III, will be the opening day QB in DC. This comes as no surprise considering how much the Redskins gave up in their trade with the Rams to own rights to the second overall pick. Shannahan is considered by many to be a quarterback guru and it showed when the team selected Kirk Cousins in the third round of this year's draft to back up the Heisman Trophy winner. I'm expecting a lot of growing pains this year but the future looks bright in Washington. RG3 will be the starter for the Washington Redskins come September 9, when they open at the Superdome against the Sean Paytonless Saints.
