Miami Heat small forward LeBron James has won the 2012 NBA MVP award. This is James' third MVP title in the past four seasons. This season LeBron averaged 27.1 points (3rd in the league), 1.85 steals (3rd in the league), 7.9 rebounds (25th in the league), 6.2 assists (13th in the league), a 53.1 shooting percentage (12th in the league) and 10 field goals made (1st in the league) per game this year. He also had 23 double doubles and led his Heat to a 2nd seed in the Eastern conference playoffs. The Heat will face the Indiana Pacers in the second round of postseason play, beginning this Saturday. James is determined to win his first NBA championship this year.
James edged out Oklahoma City's Kevin Durant and Los Angeles' Chris Paul.
