Derrick Rose Out
The Bulls paid a heavy price in their game one victory over the Philadelphia 76ers. The Bulls lost MVP Derrick Rose to a torn ACL late in the 4th quarter. The game was well out of reach when Rose was in the game but that shouldn't be the big issue here. Rose has been injured throughout the year only playing in 39 games this season. When Rose was out the Bulls were 18-9 but their overall statistics were down. Rose made the team that much better but now they look to compete without him for the rest of this postseason.
The Bulls will turn to Carlos Boozer, Rip Hamilton and C.J. Watson to increase their production. As a starter this season Watson averaged 11.3 points per game compared to his 8.0 points per game off the bench. Besides those three having to step up I think that Joakim Noah may be the most important piece as he needs to continue his defensive dominance. The Bulls were the best defensive team this year and defense wins championships.
