Outfielder #37
37. Joc Pederson LAD
BA - .222
HR - 31
RBI - 65
Runs - 77
SB - 10
It was an impressive rookie season for Joc Pederson in Los Angeles as he finished the season with 26 home runs, 54 RBI, 67 runs, four steals and a .210 batting average. Pederson started the season as the Dodgers' starting Center Fielder at 22 years of age making him the youngest Dodger to start in Center Field since Willie Crawford in 1969. The 23 year old, who became the fourth person in the history of the Pacific Coast League to record a 30HR/30SB season in 2014, showed major pop in 2015 averaging 421.7 feet per home run.

That distance was the longest in baseball last season. Pederson's average distance on his home runs was four feet longer than the slugger second on the list, Giancarlo Stanton. Pederson also hit eight "no doubters," the same amount as Bryce Harper and Yoenis Cespedes. One major concern I do have with Joc is how he finished last season. Pederson hit .230 with 20 home runs in 300 first half at bats, then really struggled down the stretch hitting .178 with six homers in 180 second half at bats. |
If you draft Pederson this year make sure you plan on countering his low batting average with someone later in your drafts who hits for a high average like Matt Holliday, Ben Revere or Kevin Pillar.
