2016 Fantasy Baseball Rankings & Projections
Outfielder #1

1. Mike Trout LAA
BA - .307
HR - 40
RBI - 101
Runs - 110
SB - 14

There isn't a better player in the game today than Angels' Outfielder Mike Trout. He's a true five-tool player in a league that's lacking superstars. His power/speed combination is unmatched and he's only 24 years old.

Last season Trout hit .299 with 41 home runs, 90 RBI, 104 runs and 11 stolen bases. Trout has seen his stolen base numbers decrease over the past four years but that's more of a bi-product of his power numbers and not a declining skill set. His 41 homers averaged a distance of 409.4 feet - the seventh longest average distance among hitters with at least 20 home runs. His 41 home runs also tied him with Troy Glaus for the second most in a single season in Angels' franchise history (Glaus also holds the record for most home runs by an Angel in a single season with 47 set in 2000). Trout's 9.4 WAR was second in all of baseball only to Bryce Harper's 9.9 WAR. On top of all that, Trout hit .317 with runners on base, .352 with runners in scoring position and .314 with runners in scoring position with two outs.

Since the start of the 2012 season Trout has hit .308 (717 for 2,325) with 134 home runs, 109 steals, 457 runs and 381 RBI. On April 17 of last season Trout became the youngest player in history to reach 100 home runs and 100 stolen bases at 23 years and 253 days old. He passed the previous record holder, Alex Rodriguez, by 56 days.
